Hot off the wire services. Winning four out of four team dual matches and
nearly 9 of every 10 individual matches (89%) the Hi-Flyers Wrestling Club
won the Minnesota 2000 State Team Wrestling Championship at Minneapolis
Roosevelt High School. Coming in 2nd place was Forest Lake and Coon Rapids
took 3rd. The good guys first crunched Stillwater by a score of 53-5, losing
only one match. Next, the 'very' Hi-Flyers demolished St.Francis by a score
of 53-2 without losing a single match and with only two St.Francis wrestlers
scoring any points. In their third dual team match the Hi-Flyers won 11 of
the 14 individual matches and trounced the Forest Lake team by a score of
41-15. In the last match of the day it was 12 individual victories and a
46-11 rout over Coon Rapids.
