The Hi Flyers completed another fantastic wrestling season with club record point totals in freestyle and greco roman competition along with some very impressive individual accomplishments at the regional and national year end tournaments.
Freestyle Grand Champions:
The Hi Flyers totaled
a club record 382 points at the freestyle state tournament vs 182 points for
the 2nd place Gladiators and 164 points for the 3rd place
Minneapolis club.
Greco Roman Grand Champion:
The Hi Flyers totaled
372 points at the greco state tourney vs 200 points for 2nd place
Screaming Eagles and 180 points for Forest Lake.
Dual Team State Champions:
The Hi Flyers beat
Forest Lake 41-15 in the finals and Coon Rapids, the 3rd place team,
46-11.
2nd place in folkstyle with 226 points behind 1st place Albert Lea with 252 points. We lost a lot of team points from Hi Flyers signing up with other clubs during folkstyle season. Remember to fill out your U.S.A. membership card as a Hi Flyer if you want your points to go toward our team totals.
