HiFlyer 2002 Season Assistant Coach
Nate Baker

HiFlyers  This will be Nate’s second year coaching the HiFlyers.  In his sophomore year at the University of Minnesota, Nate has just broken into the starting lineup and placed 5th in his first Big-Ten Championship.  He is looking forward to his first NCAA tournament representing the Gophers.

Nate Baker put together a spectacular season as a true freshman in 2000-01, compiling a 21-3 record with four titles won in open tournaments on the year. A three-time prep state champ, Baker now looks to translate his high school and freshman year success into a starting lineup role at 165 pounds for the Golden Gophers. Replacing two-time All-American will not be a simple task, but Baker is one of several Minnesota grapplers that hope to grab the starting job.
