2012-2013 Metro Mondays
Starting Monday December 3,
2012 the Hi Flyers continue to host Mn/USA Metro
Monday Folkstyle training sites at two locations this
year, Minnetonka High School and the OLD Saint Michael-Albertville High
School. The HiFlyer
wrestling club originated Metro Mondays and we are pleased that other clubs
have adopted Monday training during the High School season. Metro Mondays are a great way to train in Folkstyle technique and get some top-notch workouts with
wrestlers from many different communities.
World silver medalist and Golden Gopher Division I coach Brandon Eggum
will be leading a team including Kevin LaValley
coaching at Minnetonka High School assisted by members of the Gopher Division 1
wrestling team or graduated wrestlers.
Coach Chad Erickson, a long
time HiFlyer Wrestler, University of Minnesota Gopher
all American, and Apple Valley graduate will be
coaching at St. Michael on Mondays again this year. Chad will be helped by Tim Mlsna. Our Metro Monday program is intended for 8th
grade and under as long as you are not on varsity. The practices are designed for kids that have
a reasonable understanding of the basics and want to build from there. Each practice will be approximately 2/3
technique and drilling and 1/3 live wrestling.
The cost for Minnetonka
Metro Monday HiFlyer Training is $100 (STMA $150/10
sessions to be consistent with Chad’s other training program Flyer here: http://c2971522.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/FQNjvjL1XgtTAxu3yaGX.pdf) and you will need a USA Wrestling card. If you do not have your card for this year we
will have card sign up available at the first practice at a cost of $31 ($36
online from www.mnusawrestling.org). Having a USA Wrestling card is mandatory to
cover our insurance requirements for the facilities.

School Wrestling Room; Time: 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
At the old
St Michael Albertville High School Wrestling Room; now STMA Middle School Time
