Ray Bakke was laid to rest on Saturday, 5/24/08. He was dressed in his FILA blue shirt, yellow tie, blue blazer and whistle. The number of hours and miles that Ray put in volunteering for kids and wrestling will only be known by Ray and his Maker. As I talked to his surviving four brothers, one sister, and step son at the visitation we joke about “No Pay Ray” and some of the antics that he had pulled over the years. How he it was always tough to get a commitment out of Ray, yet he was one of the most reliable persons any of us had know. Remember Ray for his constant smile and attitude that no matter what it will always work out.
